I am wondering if anyone has been able to implement a PRI with a DMS-500 Switch. If so, do you know how the DMS-500 was setup, and how was the Legend/Magix programmed.

I am running into more and more of these that just won't do PRI with a DMS-500.

Any info would be quite appreciated.

I know that DNS-100 is a emulation of a NI2 what is a DMS-500 emulation? DMS-100 has 2 settings: (Custom and NI2). I belive you can work with Custom and only if Magix Rel. 4.0.

The DMS-500 is a single switch that can function as both a DMS-100 (Central Office) & DMS-250 (Tandem).

We have a 500 here in the office (but our Routing department back at Corporate, does all trunk group builds).

Here is what the 500 supports:

NI2,Nortel(DMS100/DMS250),AT&T 4ESS (Network & User), AT&T 5ESS (User)

(NTNAPRI,U449PRI,U459PRI,N449PRI,NIPRI)

"AT&T Custom" is AT&T 4ESS

Is this what you and I were kinda talking about this weekend? 'Cause I KNOW I've got customers on DMS-500. Vad and Paul are right: any problems are likely with the U&N settings on the CO side. In my experience, the most common symptom of incorrect Class 4 or Class 5 settings are one way communication. In other words, DID works but outbound calls do not (or vice-versa). I've got detailed notes that I'm happy to dig through for you.

Thanks all, I will ask for specifics once I hear back from the Vendor who asked.
