Hi,
I'm trying to manage my system remotely through the Internet. Even though I've forwarded the necessary port on my router, 50804, I still can't connect to the unit from afar. Use DNS is checked in Discovery, I have a static IP at the office.

I know that using Logmein or another remote access software is an option but I rather not have another computer sitting around in the office. Any ideas?

Try doing a direct connect. 50804 is the port for grabbing the config, 50802 is the discovery port, so when manager looks for the IPO it sees it.

Be mindful that, by configuring this way, you're leaving a bit of a security hole. I concur with mongo - you don't have all of the correct ports forwarded.

I've just added 50802 and it still doesn't work. Both are on TCP.

Hi, I was able to get the problem fixed. Both ports needed to be open. I needed to be on the same subnet as the IPO side and I added
192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.101; Public IP
into the IP Search Criteria. In this my case IPO was set to 192.168.1.100.
Thank you for all of your tips.

We always throw log-me-in on the VM server which is a dedicated PC that we provide.
Works great,...........just saying.
