Got a customer that wants assistants to be able to listen in on boss' calls to take notes. The boss wants to know when they are being listened in on, but don't want the caller to know that someone has just barged in.
Can a user barge into a call that alerts the IP Office user that someone has barged in but does'nt alert the outside caller?
And better yet, can the barger's voice be automatically muted when barging in?

Monitoring as you describe doesn't exist on IPO. If assistant is in close proximity, you could do a handset cord split or "training Y" connector for a second handset. Or, if you have Voicemail Pro you could record the boss' phone calls without alert tone for later transcription. Mike

You can do a call listen, whenever you listen to his calls, there will be 3 beeps on the line, so both the boss and the outside caller would hear them.
You can turn the tones off and on in the tones and music tab in system programming...
