I have an IP Office earlier release not sure (don't remember). This has Voice Mail Pro Intuity version. I have one extension that the light will not turn off. This has VM for the extension as well as for 1 hunt group. Any ideas on turning the light off?
Thanks
Mike

If none of the above works go to the offending station and scroll through the messages. Look specifically for text messages.
I had one extension for an admin that had a text message on it--I have no explanation for how it got there but once cleared the light went out.

Voicemail Pro is PC driven. As such, it adheres to Windows file structure.
navigate to the folder where the messages are (default would be: C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Accounts) there you will see a folder of every hunt group and user. All the messages are there. Find the folder with the light lit, if there are wav files in there, delete the folder. Then you need to restart the VM Pro services. When you do that, that should clear it. Dont worry about losing the mailbox, that is just the repository for the messages, not the greetings. And when you restart the service, the system will see the user in the config already set up, so it will make a new folder for the missing user.

Mongo Thanks I will give this a try. I had this happen about a year ago and forgot what I did to clear it. And of course I didn't write it down, even if I did I would have forgotten where I wrote it down.

Typical. I had a list of things to do today, but I can't remember where I put the list!

We've had this happen when a user had a message (hence light illuminated) then the user name was changed within Manager. Easiest fix for us was to simply change the user name back, delete messages, then change user name again. Mike

I've had luck fixing this by switching the voicemail type to visual voice, and it will usually show that you have a message. Play or delete it and the light will clear. Then you can switch visual voice back off if you like. I've found though that once users see visual voice, they like it and we usually just keep it that way.
