Previously I had only 2 lines going into partnerACS Rel. 4.0. Auto Attendant answers all calls. Line 2 is also the published fax number. I had set it up 2 years ago so that if AA detected CNG tones, calls would be routed to Ext. 15( Fax machine)
Last week I added new line 3. After calling line 3, AA would answer and then send to Fax machine. I took line 3 out of Ext.15 appearances, now when I try to Fax, no CNG tones, therefore no fax reception.
Any suggestions?

Have you moved line 2 to position 3?

Yeah, which CO line port in the system do you want to be the fax?
Need more info in order to properly help you.

C.o. 2 was and is the fax number. The line goes straight in as always into CO line port 2. The FAX machine is on Ext. 15

Shouldn't really matter which CO port the line is connected to. The simple fact of putting Ext. 15 into Hunt Group 8, and turning off the immediate ring on all lines for Ext. 15, will make it the Fax extension for the Auto Attendants.
