on CTX670, is it possible to forward a door phone to an analog wireless phone? Our warehouse guy is always roaming about so this would be the best way to get him to answer the warehouse backdoor.

If this is possible, can we setup multiple door phones to forward to the same analog wireless phone?
I don't see why not. The doorphone rings on a phantom DN. Just forward the phantom.
If you are using a DDCB/MDFB then the door phone can only ring a PhDN/PDN or a Page Group.
If you divert a PhDN it will override the call forward. The door phone can ring a wireless/cordless phone BUT NOT a multiple call group.

You can have multiple door phone ringing the same destination.
okay this is a little weird.

door phone is set to ring Phantom DN let say 555
I setup System call forward template x to forward all phone to analog extension 666

from my desk phone and I dial 555 (door phone PDN) if no answer, it forwards the call to my wireless phone 666.

But when I press the doorbell on the door phone, when no answer from users. It does not forwards the call to my wireless phone 666.

Any other tips?
In the system call forward I set the following to ring the wireless phone ext 666

co loop or grip
did
tie
ring transfer
internal

Day + Day2 + night all points to 666
My door phone is ddcb controller with mdfb one button door call box.

as i said above if you divert a PhDN it will overide the call forward.
hi carlos,

I sent you an email. So am I understanding correctly that the system call forward that I have setup for the phantom DN is the incorrect method?

If so do I setup the wireless phone to have the same phantom number as the door phone?

What do i need to do to avoid "diverting a PhDN"

thanks
Do I give the door phone an actual PDN instead of a phantomDN?

then forward the doorphone PDN using system call forward to the analog line extension? 666

so instead of doorphone -> phdn -> system call forward -> wireless analog phone

I do doorphone -> PDN -> system call forward -> wireless analog phone.
or do i setup the door phone to ring the same extension as the wireless phone.

go into the door phone setting and instead of putting the phdn. I put in the DN section the same extension as the wireless phone.

example : door phone rings DN 666
analog wireless phone ext = 666
okay. I was able to get the door phone to ring on the wireless analog phone.

In the door phone settings. I set the day 1, day 2, and night to the same DN as the analog phone. 666

Now, my problem is how can I get 666 to ring on both the analog wireless phone and my desk phone simultaneously.

Do I setup system call forward and then add that template to the 666 station assignment configuration?

if I do setup the system call forward, do I add the 666 to CO loop or Grd / DID / TIE / Ring Transfer / Internal or all of the above?
I didn't receive your email frown

The problem with the DDCB/MDFB is that it is designed to ring onto the digital/IP handsets as you are only able to ring a DN or page group.

So by making the doorphone ring to your SLT 666 that will be the only destination ringing unless you put a SDN key of 666 on your digital desk phone and set it to ring immediatly.
The downside of that is everytime 666 is called it will also ring on your desk phone as well.
You could set the SDN to delay1 ringing so it rings the SLT 666 and just flashes on the SDN key for say 12 seconds before it starts to ring but you can press the SDN at anytime to answer the call. Just make sure the doorphone ring time is greater than the delay1 timer on the desk phone.

Hope that makes sense as it has always been a limitation of the DDCB/MDFB that it couldn't ring a MCG or a hunt group to include SLT handsets.

The other option is to go for a different doorphone setup that is connected to a spare SLT or a PSTN line port that way you can make the line port ring to a MCG group of DKT/IPT/SLT handsets, or the SLT type can go off hook and ring to a MCG as well.
Dalas Delta doorphones are one example of that type instead of the Toshiba ones.

At least you have learnt about the doorphone different configuration/limitations so you won't make the same mistake next time.

Have fun smile
