A client has a NEC Electra Elite phone system with voicemail and needs a password reset. He does not know the password for this box or the admin password. I do not know exactly what voicemail system he has.

What type of voicemail is likely to be installed with the NeC Electra Elite? Is it built-in or separate?

It is an in-skin called Elitemail, and is based on the Active-Voice Repartee/AD_40 line.

It can be reset from a phone.

Log into the administrator mailbox and select the option to change a mailbox. Enter the extension number of the mailbox. Follow the directions / answer the questions.

If the administrator mailbox and passcode have been lost, they can be recovered by NEC tech support.

So the only option to reset the voicemail password is to call NEC tech support? Is there any way to default the voicemail system?
