I'm going to be installing a PRI circuit on a CS200. I have giving the CO guys the info that I could find in ESI literature. Is there any thing else that I need to look out for?
Thanks
The typical installation uses NI2 and B8ZS/ESF. Only other info you need is the number of digits the CO will send, any DID info and the number of channels.
Number of digits Must be 4

You can use 3 digits also....manual reads "up to 4" digits.
Don't forget to "Enable" F2135 for DID's. I've caught many a system that was having PRI/DID troubles because someone forgot to enable that.
Something to keep in mind, if you use the pilot table you must assign the number of channels alloted for this DID and if you have more than one pilot table entry the combin number for the entire table can not exceed 23 for a full PRI. Example Piolt table 1 555-555-1234, 21 Pilot table 2 555-555-1235, 2. The total=23 Pilot tables are helpfull if you wish to program ringing for a DID the same as you would an analog CO.
Ant C, that's interesting. I've setup Pilot tables before where all of the entries were set to 23. Is that recommendation or requirement documented somewhere?

I did run a report on the PRI Status in Reports and it shows the D Channel down. Is this a clock or timing issue with the CO?
Thanks.
Can you give us a detailed description of what is happening....your original post talked about an upcoming install and now you are asking questions pertaining to a problem with no description of what that problem is.
Has it been installed and working or is this still a problem with the initial install?
What does ESI tech support say?
We are just testing with our switch. It is CopperCom softswitch. The problem is the PRI is not allowing incomming DID's or outgoing calls. So basically the switch and phone system are not talking is my guess. Thanks.
flip the w/bl and w/or pairs, is the cabinet syncing up? the led on the card with the pri on it should Not be blinking.
make a loopback connector, make sure you can sync up Your cabinet(get the led to stop blinking)
Has the provider actually ' turned up ' the service?
Also, when I said to flip the w/bl - w/or I was talking about on the RJ45 .....
I loop backed the card and the led did stop blinking. Then I talked to the CO tech and they over bilt the card in the switch so it sounds like they have to find a new position for the PRI span on the switch.
