i have a td1232-6 w / t1 lines
we have a fax machine connected to a sl port xdp enabled , you can get / make intercom calls from it , however when you try to access an out side line ( 9 or 88 ,reference line set to trunk group 8 ) you get a fast busy ,there is no out going restrictions set , class of service is same for all ports
You need to enable day/night/break/lunch line access for that xdp X-2 jack. Shawn
this is for the kxtd
i have modem access to this system , i went into it last night and double checked all the programs
what is the progam # that you are talking about ?
pgm 605/606 find the x jack in software and put ticks in for access to lines both modes .
that was set from the start , all ports set for un restricted access to the lines
What happens when you try dialing 9 from a non-slt port? Ie: Press INTERCOM if you have to, then dial 9 from a KXT instrument.
if there is a t1 card in this ksu its 88 for T by default!

Have the channels been put into a line group?
How many channels you using? Are the unused channels marked No Connection?
Try 9 for reference line, that is default. Only the reference line in the chosen group?
And are the live channels in the same line group as the Reference line?
And are they ascending or descending order same as T1?
23 channels + d channel access to 1 thru 23
in that order no connection on 24
all channels set to reference line 9 trunk group 8
You never answered the question, Can you dial 9 or 88 on a Digital set and get a line?
You might also check Flexible Numbering, see if 9 and 8 is in there, 9 for local call , 8 for TRG call. And put them in group 1, why dial 88 when 9 will suffice?
that was mentioned in the initial discription at the top
the 9 is set for line access and 8* is set for trunk group access
Again, can you get dial up access from a Digital phone?
sorry , that digtal port is being used daily with no complaints , prgm 600 set for enabled , tried it in disabled mode also
Port being used?
Not the question. Question was (asked by 3 people) Can you get dial up access at any digital phone?
Dial up meaning press Intercom 9 or 88, not pressing a line key with channel assigned.
thought it was , called customer(75 miles away)
they said no
As you won't answer the question I will leave it alone.
Brokeda, It appears that he answered your question 1 march, 7:52P
"thought it was , called customer(75 miles away)
they said no"
allcalcom, the point of Brokeda's question is that if a DIGITAL phone cannot "DIAL ACCESS" a trunk group or outbound dial tone, that would indicate programming error in the 1232, that is system wide. Either phone by phone or system command.. Off the top of my head, it may be a problem in the 4XX area of the program. But, I haven't a manual handy. (That's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it)
fast busy can also mean station lock has been enabled .If you don't have toll restriction or line access denial what else can it be .
I'dd look in flexible numbering plan and see if some one got inventive with trunk access codes.
going out to the site in the morning
will check all these out again close up
and see what i can find out
went to job site on friday , 9 and 88 do work on
on digital and analog ports except the one the fax machine was on , you can dial other ext's and can receive ic calls dial 9 or 88 it just sits there and does nothing . moved it to a different sl port working just fine .
