1A2,
Since you stated in an earlier post, you were able to access the system via web browser this indicates that this is a IPK II CPU. To default the system, pull all cards except the CPU, power down the system, hold down the SW toggle, (I don't remember which one) power up the system, keep holding the toggle while watching the LEDs on the CPU, when they begin to flash release the toggle. If this procedure doesn't work, try the other SW toggle. If it does work slot the circuit cards, slot the first card, watch the CPU, 1 of the LED's will flash, this indicates the card is being assign to that slot, 30 to 60 seconds after it stops flashing slot the next card, FYI the MIFM is not used.
Thanks there is one momentary toggle switch labeled reset and I held that down and I think that did the trick.
LED's 3 and 4 lit then I think led 2 flashed.
I can see all the cards are correct now in the serial console, and can access the webPro at its default IP 172.16.0.10, I had to create a 172.16.0.0/24 net and force my router port to 10mb to work with its old nic as for some reason the 'auto negotiate' was not working reliably.
however webPro uses very old javascript and I don't think runs right in a modern browser as if I change anything its not saved on reboot though that could also be by design or that might be something to do with the dip switches or permissions.
I did get the one d-term phone working but it has a garbled display but I might be able to issue the save command from the phone anyway.
Here are some notes that perhaps may help anyone else trying to revive one of these:
I find the serial console the most useful I had to fiddle around with its the following setting make it work;
Cable: Standard RS-232 straight-through DB9 cable to USB-serial adapter
Switch setting: On the CPU II board, set SW3-1 = ON (RS-232C Monitor ON), SW3-2 = ON
Terminal settings:
Baud rate: 38400
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
running HELP in the console showed a long list of commands
IP will show the ip address of various cards;
IP INFO 8
shows the ip address of the CPU II card.
I can program extensions from the console and that seems to work so that may be all I need.
I don't see a way to change the IP address of the CPU II card from the console (yet) not a big deal as the webPro is so old.
I don't have access to the PCpro or whatever software, I think there was a CD-rom with this that is gone.
When I have more time I'll try more console commands and see what they do.
Thanks everyone for your help
