How do I password a VM box. Using Embedded Base option
*17 goes directly to message. Not asking for password

The system won't ask for a password if you're trying to retrieve from the phone associated with it, but will ask for one if you try to access the mailbox from somewhere that isn't programmed as a trusted source. Try removing the trusted source short code (Vextn) from extension programming.
