We have a Sprint Protege CTX KSU (K32US4.F06) and ProtegeVoice SVP-4.

The system has already been configured by a phone technician.

The phone technician has programmed a keyset feature key as a voice mail "message waiting" key. Unfortunately, the "message waiting" feature no longer works (i.e. it is having amnesia and it does not light up when we receive a voice mail message). Of course, voice mail is still fully functional.

"Professor Shadow" has a post on how to reprogram the night service mode key already so would I just do as suggested previously to "program a feature under a feature key" except to use "F64" for the voice mail "Message Waiting" key?

The below is from "Professor Shadow" instructions for "program a feature under a feature key"

1. Keyset is idle or in use on a call.
2. Press the Function key and then dial # 3.
3. Press designated feature key to which to program feature.
4. Press soft key F3 below the word “chg.”
5. Press soft key F2 below the word “feat.”
6. Press the Function key and then enter the appropriate feature code number.
7. Press soft key F2 below the word “save” to
save selection.

Thank you for your help. Ken.
