I have hotel customer who needs a call forward external programed. I need to set FWD to an off premise 800 number for reservations when the front desk is busy. I have checked all the options for call forwarding but cannot make it work. When an incoming calls come to the front desk They  transfer to an ext that is call forwarded to to a speed dial number. The call goes out normally but the console is unable to release the call. The console display says "cant. Any help on this problem would greatly appreciated. the trunks are T1

In the device interconnection table (form 30), you need to allow an unsupervised connection between the 2 trunks that are involved in the call. For instance, if the call comes in on an LS trunk, but goes out on a GS trunk, go to where column 3 meets row 4, and choose "allow". In form 30, if you choose "Review" the system will show the numbers that correspond with the trunk types. Also, tell the operators to release the transferred call only after they hear the far end ringing.

If this is any version of the 200 then you need to make sure of the following
That trunk COS has external call forwarding enabled. That "Internal to External call forwarding" is enabled in form 4. That the console has access to speed dial and "CO trunk to CO trunk connect" enabled in it's class of service. Also make sure that the appropriate types of devices are allowed to connect o each other in form 30 (device interconnection table) If you want to take one more variable out of the equation once you have all the programming correct the console can transfer the call directly to the speed dial number instead of an extension that is always forwarded to that speed dial number - but it should work either way.
Good luck.

Sure. But most of the properties don't have dedicated trunks just for reservations, or they don't want to transfer if they can take the reservation inhouse. So it's on a call by call basis, so not every call will need to be transfered. It's usually more of a convenience, rather than the norm.

check form 13 as to how your trunks are programmed, you mentioned T1 so eith DID/Tie or if Pri E&M trunk, therefore in that will give you the proper trunk to program in form 30 and the cos options for trunk to trunk option

That sounds like the perfect setup for lines that are always forwarded, during the off season. But if there was no offseason, you'd probably set things up like azimmer is trying to!!
