Brand new system installed 2 weeks ago.
Replaced line card and same thing.

Customer has to reboot system.

2 lines on system
1 is main line and other is fax with STICK

I cannot dial in to IRAD with line 1 but I can with line 2.
Moved line 1 to another port and same thing.
I noticed a slight noise on the line.

Think the line is causing the card to disable?

Unfortunatly Rogers is the carrier.....stick to cable please!!!!

Curly, have tried the other card slot?

It might be Rogers, but it is still technically Bell.

Does the CICS monitor line voltage? Many systems do this to automatically take dead lines out of an outward dialing pool. Perhaps this feature can be disabled in the CICS if it exists?

I'm thinking the Rogers is using an IAD, channel bank or pair gain hardware that likely delivers line voltage below industry standards. Adtran IADs only put out about 34 volts where 48 volts (nominal) is the standard.

I'm guessing that the Stick is providing enough reproduced line voltage to make the second CO port function properly. I seriously doubt that the slight noise on the line is the cause for your problem.

No charge for providing you with more questions than answers.

I double checked and its a few cliking noises only heard when transferred to the IRAD, normal calls seems fine.
No clicking noise when calling fax line.

Swapped KSU today, will see.

Thanks dudes.

I think the noisy line is a problem. Why would IRAD differently react on two lines if quality of lines are the same?
