We have an 800 number with the auto attendant asking you to press a number for a certain dept.. then we need the call routed to two different extension numbers. Two issues, the first is, How do I forward the call to two different extensions,and the second is, We need to update what the message is saying to the caller so they press the correct number, how can we find what the extension number is for the 800 number? We're using Inter-Tel 7.006 DB Studio 1.51

First, you have several options, first change the option in the CRA to do something like: Press 2 for Dave in Service Press 3 for John in Service etc and make the digits match the exts or you could do something like Press 2 for Service Press 3 for Parts with this you would build a new CRA for option 2 to go to and have an option inside it for Dave and one for John
Another would be to build a Hunt Group option number 2 for service would ring a HG say 2003 it has members of Dave then John this would cascade or you could make a pool group with dave and jonh and ring both phones at the same time. You would then need a recall dest. a CRA that dumps to a MB maybe? or goes back to greeting, or or or or options are pretty much endless
For the recording you need the managers mailbox and password depending if it is an EM or EVMC I think you will need directions seems like they are a little differant

thanks, the hunt groups fixed the issue, and we had the ext. number to change the voice message,just didn't know how to access it until we played around and found how to do it by accident.:-)
