Re: KX-TD816BX Caller ID shenanigans

Get yourself a Panasonic TDA50G, it should have the Caller ID module already installed. It supports the 7200 and 7400 series telephones, and can be programmed from a phone. Panasonic manufactured them for about 18 years, plenty of them out there and cheap. Kevin I could entertain this possibility, indeed. Albeit they're a bit hard to come by around here, sometime ago I was able to find a reasonably priced KX-TDA30BR for what would be equivalent to fifty bucks, roughly. I'll be on the lookout. Meanwhile, I'm holding on to this old kicker. It has been serving well, for now.

NEC IP phones rebooting
jpet621
I have an NEC sv9100 CP10 that has a VPN connection to another building. That building has IP phones. Sporadically some of the IP phones will continue to reboot and end up with "SIP server not found" After a period of time the phones will eventually come back up. While these phones are rebooting I am able to ping the 9100 directly from the ping feature of the phone and Im able to ping the phones IP address that was assigned when they worked. IT has watched the VPN tunnel and its fine. This happens quite a few times during the week. Not sure how confusing this is lol Any thoughts

SV9100 store hours mailbox

Have a SV9100 I am trying to set up a voicemail box up for store hours and then have it go back to the main menu. I have the mailbox set up, but it wants to record a message instead of going to the main menu. What am I missing?

It's been a loooong time since I touched an 816, and always programmed from the telephone! Afraid I'm of no help here... Old system, indeed. But it was cheap, got intercom and still a bit interesting piece of tech to play around. In other news, I've searched everything across Google and USENET and didn't find much information on the subject, though some Cyrillic-writing folks do suggest this board may have compatibility issues with some ye' olde TD1232 ROM's. Since those two are nearly twins, I'm gonna assume this also holds true for TD816. Another possibility is that some obscure SYS or COS bit needs to be set for the system to be able to work with that hardware. The only thing that surprises me in that is the fact this little card was manufactured back in 1993, whilst my KSU got a 1996 ROM, so it may well be a regional thing. The seller told me he knows some old folks who probably know something about it. There's a thin chance someone got this forgotten piece of knowledge written at back of some paper bag out there. I'll check with him and report back. He also doesn't have the pure FSK version, i.e. TD193X, so whatever happens, I guess I'll have to make do with that one. That stuff is incredibly hard to find around here, and, though I love those Panasonic systems, I have to say they've gone on full Apple on those. It's quite infuriating how murky waters get when it comes to compatibility of modules between only slightly different regional versions of the same model.

Samsung Os 7400 Pri Caller Id No Info
John807

Samsung OS 7400 with a Pri No longer shows Caller ID Information. I told the client it might be a new flavor from the C.O. and support on your system stopped years ago. That being said they want to upgrade about 300 phones across 4 sites currently 4) OS 7400's networked via Spnet. For security reasons head of IT wants premise not hosted One Server at main location for all sites he's looking at Grand stream any recommendations. Being retired is too much work. LoL.
