IP Console still re-setting after "repair" has static IP address. Have been advised to put in a switch between the controller(MX) and the console. Why would that matter?

Distance problem (?) getting a boost to or from the console?

It's not that far of a cable run, under 50'. I have another property running the same console straight out of the controller and it's over 50', so I'm at a loss! I will try a switch tomorrow, thanks JC.
