Have any of you installed an Igeacom nursecall (Igeacare) system on a Toshiba system?
I have had no trouble installing everything, just looking to enhance something.
The nursecall unit in each suite has three calling points, 1. the base unit 2. the bathroom pull cord 3. a pendant worn by the resident.
The calling point can be programmed to call any extension be it DN, HG or MCG...The way I have it set right now is all three just call a duraphone set on an analog port with three handsets and display the room number so that they can respond to the resident requiring assistance.
What I would like to do is to have the display show what calling point was activated, such as the bathroom pull cord.
As far as I can tell in a CIX you can't name a hunt group only assign it a numerical display, but the display already has enough numbers on it.
Any suggestions on how I might accomplish this? The sub is completely happy already but I would like to add to this install and work it into our next roll-out.
Cheers

I think the only way to name which device made the call, is to give each device it's own analog port. The only other possible solution would be to integrate each room with a door box control unit, which has three inputs, all of which can be named separately and only require one port from the Toshiba to oporate.

Tony is right, you would need to give each device its own analog port, or you could put digital phones in there and have each call point ring to a different PhDN.
Another way we have done this is to have the Igeacom units ring to Spectralink wireless sets with an OAI gateway and have the Apolo send a text message to the wireless sets. I cant quite remember what it was but there was something that wasnt quite right with this setup that caused us to disable it. It was an ease of use thing. It did work, the text message said "RM 202 Bathroom" but the customer didnt like the WAY it worked.
I do like the Igeacom units and they are coming out with a newer better product next year. We already have two large assisted living facilities that are scheduled to be upgraded as soon as the product is rolled out.

Separate ports for each device would work great except that the pendant and bathroom pull cords are wireless devices that ring out on the base units connection to a single analog port.
This is where the idea of using a different hunt group for each device came from, I can set what number the base calls depending on the device that was activated but it still uses the same analog port on the system.
The idea was like this:
Base call button is push: calls directly to ext that the cordless slt is connected to and displays "room 1234"
Bathroom pull cord: the base calls a hunt group that has an entry in the "number to be displayed" and that number is tacked on after the "room 1234" taken from the port settings.
And then another HG for the pendants with an identifying number.
I'm not even sure yet if the caller ID will display both the room number and HG identifier at the same time, but that was my only work around without buying anymore equipment.
Thanks for the ideas though, I will give it some more thought and see if I can working something out.

By each device getting its own analog port, I meant that each call point, lets say the call button on the wall unit, calls its own analog port x123, the pendant, calls analog port x124, pull cord calls x125. I know this is probably not practical thus the reason I suggested putting in digital phones and having each call point call a seperate PhDN. This way, each digital phone can have a button labeled "Call Button", "Pendant", and "Pull Cord". The person who answers looks at the display to find the room number and looks at what phantom is ringing to determine what initiated the call.

Right, I gotcha....we had thought about the PhDN route as well but they wanted cordless phones without paying for digital cordless. These analog sets are really nice but they do have their limitations.
