We are currently having an issue with our hold music. We have an MP3 player plugged into the side and sometimes the music is fine other times it sounds broken up like it skips. I tried two different MP3 players with different music. Calls are always fine but I can not figure out why it would be doing this. Any Ideas?

It sounds like possibly the cable or the jack on the cabinet are going bad.

Are you testing by listening using your cell phone or over a land line? Cell phone will always sound lousy.

Pressing feature 26 turns on background music (moh) from a digital set.

I have tried it from a land line and all the calls are clear. WHen I pressed feature 26 I didn't notice any skipping but sometimes from the phone it seems like it works fine and other times it does not.

It ended up being the adapter to 3.5 for my mp3 player. Once I changed to a cable without an adapter it worked fine.
