I have a Comdial Executech 2000 system. I AM NOT a telephone installer but I am the owner of this system and am responsible for all the programming.
I am trying to connect the KSU to a PC for remote programming. I have the owners manual but still cannot get the remote programming to work.
I have attached an RS-232 Seriel Cable to the Data Port on the Comdial and the other end in to COM1 on the PC. I am attempting to connect using Windows Hyperterminal but can't seem to get a connection.
Does anyone know anything about this? Am I using the correct cable? Is it plugged into the correct port(s)? What settings should I use in Hyperterminal?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
David

Use Port A
RS232 2 - TD 3 - RD 7 - SG
7-bit 2-stop no-parity 300 baud (default) could have been changed

If you have a 9 pin com port then SG goes to pin 5.
