Yet the tech plug his pset tester I and was able hear a dial tone, yet no pset phone was able to work. I'd question the 3 pair concept. The set models he had previously posted on are 1 pair from the CO. They are considered 3 pair at the station end because they require a 6 conductor line cord as the voice goes across the center pins and the power for the display and speakerphone use the 3rd pair of the line cord. A P set adapter or test set will give dial tone on just the tip and ring pair- Dave, where does the power come from? Locally or the CO? To the OP: are you sure there was power supplied to that phone when you were testing at the DEMARC? -Hal
