We recently had one of our 800#s go out.
The provider had issues and we could not even call them. So we could not change the forwarding or anything.

So anyway we are looking moving the number to a different provider.

This brought up a question.
Is there a way to automatically test dial a set of numbers to confirm they ring?

Idealy something that runs on either on a computer / server or maybe from the phone system.

I have Access 11 running. Maybe a STAR app that dials and either hands up on first ring or an automated message when they answer. - And someway of knowing if it fails.

Basically looking for a way to know if a number has a probem before our customers tell us, we tried calling you... something like that.

If I could avoid acually calling the number and just do like a phone number ping that would be ideal.

There is no functionality within the Axxess system to automatically dial outbound calls.

STAR applications will route inbound calls, based on time/day/date.
