Client (Drs. office) ordered new service from ATT (Business in a Box?). New service does not include (and cannot add) call forwarding. Can an ATT Partner system (R3.0 or newer) forward calls off-site? The office needs to forward calls to their answering service and, for now, are screwed.

Partner ACS needs to be R.6 or better to do remote call forward.

If you need to flash the R.3 up to a R.6,........ we can help you with that.

When you say "remote" call forward, you mean call forward, yes? I need to forward their main # to an off-site answering service.

Yes.
But it will tie up two lines for the duration of the call. A line to come in and a line to go back out.

Got it, thanks. I was thinking about "remote access to call forwarding" when you said that. I'll check with the client and see if they want to upgrade.

Thanks again!

No problem,
But I got to ask............
Around here AT&T "Business in a Box" is a complete package per say.
IP Flex as the DT/Internet and a phone system, is that not the case in Florida?

I'm using that term generically. They install a router and that's it. Analog ports for dialtone and an ethernet port for data.

Ah....., got ya.

Around here the AT&T rep will tell the customer, "Oh you must have an IP system to do IP Flex" then bundle in a new phone system.

Yep...I believe ATT actively recruits used car salesmen.
