Hello all I need advice as to how to proceed (or buy) with the scenario below.
Involved equipment 2 - Avaya G3s Cisco UCM 7.1 Cisco Unity Voicemail
My organization has 2 campuses - At campus 1 we have a Cisco UCM 7.1, Cisco Unity and one of the Avaya G3s. At Campus 2 we have have the other Avaya G3.
Campus 2 Avaya is connected to the Campus 1 Avaya via a PRI trunk, this trunk is used for 4 digit dialing between campuses and for voice mail access using the Cisco Unity VM. Campus 1 Avaya connects to Cisco Unity voicemail with analog ports connected directly into the Cisco Unity server. Note - Both campuses are networked together, but we still need a T1 for the Definity's as they only have DS1 cards.
They are now going to remove the Campus 1 Avaya and they still want Campus 2 Avaya to access Cisco Unity for voicemail.
During a test I moved the Campus 2 T1 to the Cisco UCM and after making some T1 controller changes it worked fine for 4 digit dialing, but the send-calls and busy/no answer don't work in the Campus 2 Avaya 64XXD+ phones.
Is there a less complicated way to integrate the Campus 2 Avaya to the Campus 1 Cisco Unity?
A co-worker mentioned the purchase of an Avaya gateway to fix the problem.
If anyone could advice me on the matter it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The solution appears to be the Cisco PIMG.
