End user says he had the equivalent of abbreviated ring when the phone was idle and that function no longer works. The call would ring once and sit there until it forwarded to voice mail. This worked fine when the station is busy on a call but I cannot duplicate this for and idle station. Possible?

I think that your end user is incorrect. I've never seen a Legend do this - however I've never tried. Just don't think it's under the hood...

a rube goldberg may be possible, but if you create one you become personally responsible for it working correctly. what you describe is not a supported feature.

I'm fairly sure that DND totally silences the phone...

only abbreviated ring when on the phone. DND silences all ringing. Check to make sure the customer isn't putting too much Bailey's in his coffee.
