Have a client with a IPO500v2 running Rel 7.0.31. They have (3) IP9621G phones. 1) is there a way to have unique line ringing. Line 1 is their home phone line and Line 2 is their front doorbell. They want a different ring on each line.
2) Caller ID only displays the incoming phone number. They want either just the Name or both Name and Number. Any Ideas?
3) The phones sound "Brassy or Tinny" (Customers words). How does one go about adjusting sound quality. He says that the Polycom IP phone sound "Crisp"...
We've got you by the Calls!

For an installation like this with 3 phones in a residence (I assume) why the hell do they have IP phones and why is it not running in Partner mode?

So he can brag at the country club that he has VoIP in his house.
Sorry, that didn't help answer the question, but I couldn't resist.

1. No "per line" distinct ring in Essential or Preferred mode - only available in Basic mode. But no IP phones in Basic mode. 2. I THOUGHT that default had name & number. Do you have a tag in ICR or something that may supersede the name? 3. In user tab, click the dropdown in QUality field and de-select "Brassy or Tinny" and instead select "Polycom mode". Seriously - in the world of IP phones with analog lines, there are countless components that can have an effect here.
