we have a 200D with 2 LS/gs and 4 COV in bay 1. each time there is a power outage and after the UPS runs out the system goes down, but the BPS in bay 1 never comes back. we have to replace it. something get's fried.
any ideas?

Who is powering the system back up? Is it the cust? removing the cov cards and the ls/gs cards first, then power up and see if the bps still functions. If it does you have a faulty card, 99% of the time it's an ons card problem, but you may have a cov doing the same. Then with a good bps plug back in cards one at time and watch the ps. well the system just powers back up when the electricty comes back on. so i guess no-one is turning it back on, it just comes back with everything else. perhaps we'll just have to shut it off the next time there is an outage and test each card like you said. I believe there is an ONS, but not in that bay.
