Does anyone know how to use an E&M trunk card for paging on a Mitel 3300, 3340 or 3300 lite. I read that this can be done.

Of course you have to have a PE node and an E&M card. An I assume that there is a reason to go with an E&M rather than a MOH/Pager adapter.
There are two ways of doing it. The first way is to go into the system config and tell the system that the E&M card is a Loud Speaker card. That means that this must now be dedicated to that function. Then you go into the Loud Speaker Paging assignment form and assign the paging zones.
The second way to do this does not require you to dedicate the card to the paging function. Program an E&M circ as a regular type 5 trunk. (you must check dip switches on the card to set it to type 5) In the E&M circuit descriptor be sure to set the "Audio inhibit until answer supervision" to no. Then program an ARS route to use the trunk. Connect your page system input to the T&R and the remaining leads may stay open. You may have to play with the circ descriptor a bit to get the audio cut through. Just play with it and you should be fine.
Hopes this helps.

Thanks for the help. The reason for doing this is I have PE node and 12 E&M cards not being used. Trying to keep costs down.
