I am replacing an old Siemens 232 switch with an analog sx200. I have most of the programming figured out, but am having problems setting up the trunk x-connect fields and trunk card option switches. Software is 217, and trunk cards are 211. I do not need to use power failure, I have an emergency manual toggle switch to handle the 2 incoming lines. I have documentation on CD, which is rather cumbersome to use. The cabling diagrams show T1R1 XT1XT2 T2R2 for each trunk port. I have attempted to connect to T1R1, but get a sieze failure. They are ground start trunks. Any suggestions? I am considering connecting to T2R2.
Thanks

You do have to skip a pair, it has been a long time since I worked on one ,as I remember some had a board which straightened out the amphenols and some didn't ,but you also had to program each trunk to be ground start, the backplane amphenols do not come out straight ,if you are trying to just come out from them ,you have to use the board.I think there is switches on the trunk cards that have to be set also as I remember ,I'm sorry it has been so long I can't remember .Good Luck

I figured it out. Looking more closely at the cabling diagrams, the cable pair number numbers change, depending on if it is a station card or trunk card. It moves one pair. I have dial tone! I still have some COS and SMDR configuration out, but I'm really close.
Thanks
