I have two sister companies with a Mitel SX200 that cannot navigate my auto-attendent (a new Norstar CallPilot 150). All of our other customers, as well as any other phone in that same area, including cell phones, can get in and navigate the system fine. We're thinking perhaps its the DTMF tone duration. Is there a way to extend it on the Mitel SX200?

You're having trouble from all types of sets? Are you aware that the consoles do not produce DTMF by default?
In all of the Auto-attends we've installed, I can't remember a time when we had trouble with DTMF tones.

I'm guessing that's the problem. Here's the full situation:

We installed the Norstar CP150, and the Mitel systems cannot navigate through the auto-attendent. If the people call on their cell phones, from home, from the pay phone in the factory, they can navigate the system. Other customers can navigate the system. But anyone calling through the Mitel system cannot get the CP150 to respond to their key presses. It is consistent with every instrument they use (although I don't know what they are using, I can find out if its important).

What actually happens when they try to navigate, and if is from a console they need to press the tones key to enable DTMF. Can you give more specifics on the call progression and what happens from the users input. and what type of phone that much is very important.

Well, I'm not sure. I have a query in to them. Once we told them that it might be the DTMF, they did *something* and they can now all get through fine. I'll try to find out what it was for future searchers here.

$20 says Alex Kroger nailed the answer. Console DTMF tones weren't turned on, imho.
