I have a vendor that has a Mitel Sx2000 and is working 2 PRI's 2( 23B + 1D )out of it. I see from running protocol monitor from the 5Ess that he is returning busies to me on channel 16 everytime and thus some incoming calls do not make it in to his Pbx. Also, he hasn't so far been able to hunt over to the 2nd Pri and is filling up the 1st one. I do work for the phone company that provides this PRI. Any thoughts?

Hunting to the next PRI on incoming calls is out of the control of the distant PBX . If it is being used for outgoing 1st choice then that is a differnt story . He/They need to reload the PRI card and that should solve the ch16 issue this was a problem with lw31&32 and an upgrade should prevent further reoccurences .

Ok. That fixed the channel 16 issue....thank you. Now the hunting issue. I have him set for 2 way forward on this like I do with over 300 other Pri's, but he cannot make it hunt to the 2nd Pri. Any thoughts on this?

What kind of tone is returned to the caller when the first PRI fills up ? Can outgoing calls be placed on the second PRI . By tones I mean
busy tone
reorder tone
ring tone
a recording
silence

The vendor had a bad Pri card all along. He replaced it and now everything works fine. Too bad for the customer it went on for 2 weeks. Thank you guys for all of your info, you guys are great!
