I have a hotel that has a 200 el with pms integration and about a 10 year old 8 port VSR CoVoice. every thing works great acd for reservations tight pms integration . now client wants the teleworker solution(and new voicemail so I figuir the icp ...) and my question is can I upgrade these guys to an icp add the 6000 MAS and teleworker soltions at the remote end and have acd setup and have a remote teleworker log and be part of the reservations acd group just like what I have presently set up on the EL? second question does the imbededed voicemail have the same kind of hospitality options like the covoice like "thank you for staying at our hotel..... for your messages press 1... for wakeup call press...and will the pms reset the mailbox when someone checks out like now with covoice??? TIA Shawn

Shawn - I don't deal with the Teleworker or MAS solutions but I can answer your questions about the embedded Voice Mail (EMEM). The EMEM will prompt the guest to "Press P to Play messages, Press W to set Wake-Ups...". The easiest way to integrate the ICP with PMS interfaces is with IP Sockets such as the Precidia iPocket232's (1 for PBX/PMS, 1 for Voice Mail). For the CAS, I usually go from the Printer port on the ICP to the CAS and from the CAS to the PMS. This eliminates the need for an additional IP Socket. The PMS will reset the Voice Mail, check in/out the guest room, display the guest's name on the Console, etc...
Hope this helps -
Rich

The teleworker phone works as if it's onsite. I have one at my house, and my wife complains about all of the internal paging that she hears during the day! Anything the extension could do onsite, it can do when plugged into any highspeed internet connection (mine worked like a champ in Africa)! Let me know if we can be of any further assistance.

DSU and 55' are correct. I've upgraded a couple of SX-20s with CoVoice to ICP with EMEM, and it works great. Since it's embedded, there are no issues with integration parameters, SMDI, AAInfoPak, or any of that crap. No serial cable to configure, bauds to figure out, etc. VM just darn well works.
On the PMS connections, the IPockets are simple and easy to set up. Follow the instructions and they'll make your day. Just be sure you know the Baud/parity from the PMS vendor.
Make sure that you order the "hospitality package" to get hospitality features, like guest room extensions. Also, I usually set up a speed dial code for guest mailbox check-in/Checkout, so that if the PMS Vendor's equipment goes on vacation, the front desk staff can still clear mailboxes.
Haven't used teleworker... saw one demo, and that was just sweet. We had a phone in California checked the weather service in Ottawa, as a local call.
