I guess it's just my week for these old sx200(with analog cabinets)to freak out!From the console,randomly when accessing a trunk either by dialing 9 or direct trunk access all I get is static.Same thing is happening when dialing rooms.As far as I know and heard it only happens on the console.The static "when you get it"is constant and stays until you release,no dial tone just static! anybody ever had this problem before? thanks Jason

If the Consol on Universal card then probably you have DTMF reseivers installed as well. I use to have the same problem when one receiver was bad. If this is only trunk eccess I would say bad trunk or Trunk card, but if you have the same problem by dialing room then is DTMF. But in this case from SL telephone you should have the same problem. I would go in Maintenance and will busy out all receivers but ONE. then go and change combinations. If it is receiver you will find bad one.
