Does anyone know if it is possible to capture text off the Mitel Provided secure telnet program. This would be very helpful to me so I can capture the program info in form 32 in the display function. If not does anyone know of a secure telnet client that will do that.

Thanks for your help

puTTY should do everything Secure Telnet does, and allows you to log your session. Just set your connection type for "RAW".

Got your PM. Not sure about the Escape codes in RAW mode, I never use them. Only thing I use RAW mode for is talking to the RTC and E2T on a 3300ICP, everything else is Telnet for me, and in that case, they work fine with the default config.

Found out you have to turn local echo off and it works fine. Thanks for the help. No I can set up log and it captures the scrolling text which I can edit down to what I need in a word file.

I apologize. You ALSO have to Force Local line editing to off.

the free program mitel sends does not allow you too capture text.
Just setup a printer port 61328
then turn on CDE print for 61328
then open up Procomm plus or Hyperterm and setup a telnet session and turn on capture text.
select which for you want to print
done

I use a different telnet program that allows capturing of text called "TN3270 Plus" you can also setup a directory with it

Hi guys I am trying to do a similar thing. I have gotten putty to correctly connect to my Mitel SX-200. I just don't know how to print the configurations out.

I know how to go to Form 32 and do the Print All option, but that doesn't print anything to the screen for Putty to capture.

In Form 32 System Configurations are set to print "DIRECT"

I don't know how to force it to print to my laptop. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Just in case anyone else needs/wants to know here is the procedure that I worked out.

Pretty simple really. I found that I need to set up my connection for RAW .Click on "Terminal" and set "local echo" and "local line editing" to "force off". Then click on keyboard and set to VT100+.

Now once you are in then go to form 32 and use the display option. When I do display all then I usually go through and do all my from cos to cos, etc. until I get to the last one like that wihich is T1 link desciptors. After I have entered the valuse before I hit enter I right click on the blue line at the top and then go to "change settings" which will bring up your window again. Under session to to "logging" and click on "printable output" then name the file and browse to the location you want to save the file. After that return to the session and hit "enter" when it has stopped printing out on the screen you can close your logging.

Of course if you just want to capture a certain form then go to that form and set your logging up before hitting the key for display option.
