I can access the admin mail box without issue using the password we assigned it, however when trying to connect with the software, it says log in failure and disconnects.
Any suggestions, the password itself is known good for logging into the 999 box.
Thanks for any help.

are you going in remotely or hooking up directly to the card? If you are trying to hook up directly to the card and this is a hotel and it has PMS enabled you need to dial in via the administrator mailbox and toggle the serial port to programming from PMS

The errors are as follows... Status line: log in failed !!! with return result -20 Error Dialog: Error 21
You cannot log in due to a
communications error. Please try
again. Now I understand Error 21 is a Password Error, however I don't know how it could be different than the password used to login to the administrator box. any help would be great.

As Dane had asked earlier, is the serial port set for PMS integration, or maintenance functions?

this may not be the issue but years ago I was having the same trouble and it is became a known issue as to the placement of the MEM, it cannot be in slots highter than slot 5 or you will get intermittent or no communications remotely, I moved all MEMs to slot 3 and no problems.

Sorry for the delay and the non-answer previously.. Yes via the administrator mail box it is setup for express manager. Options 5,8,1
The card was installed in slot 5 in the 1st bay, and i was previously able to connect to it using the password set for the administrator mail box.

A step forward...
I tried from another system and it logged in without issue... it is truly weird as it connects and handshakes fine but can't login from that computer.
I'll play around with AT settings and see what can be found but it is weird.
