Hello,
We're a hotel and use an SX-2000. Our PMS looks through the SMDR data for posting calls and capturing messages indicating a 911 call was placed, or a wake up call was set or missed.

When the last attempt of the wake up call is missed the SX-2000 spits out "No Answer 4". My problem is that our PMS looks for the room number AFTER the "No Answer 4" part, but the room number comes before it.

My question: Is there any way to change the SMDR data that comes out of the SX-2000? Maybe I can have the room number come after the notification part. Is it all hard coded? Any advice?

I think all of that is pretty much hard coded. Usually that kind of thing is pretty easy for the PMS company to adjust to

Jacob, I believe ALL Mitels put out the extension first. Hard to believe the PMS company doesn't know that. Are they aware that they are interfacing to a Mitel? John C.

All of that info is definitely hard coded. As Lightning horse mentioned, if the PMS folks aren't familiar with the output string of your Mitel system, they haven't been doing HM interfaces for very long!!!

Contact tech support for your PMS vendor but don't waste time with the first person who answers. Ask immediately for an Interface Specialist... those are the guys who will know what the letters "SMDR" mean. The SMDR comes down as a string of ASCII characters and, like everybody else said, you can't change that from the Mitel end. The PMS has to accept that string and be programmed to parse the characters to extract the room number from the correct locations. Also be careful if your numbering plan puts a leading digit on the room number (i.e. Room 224 is Extension 7224) because the PMS needs to ignore or delete the leading digit to match the room numbers.
