We recently upgraded an Inter-Tel Axxess system with an OS/2 VM to a Unified Messaging system (Axxess DB v. 11). We have set up the Unified Messaging, and it is working well for our test users. (Mail is Exchange 2003 - connection is via IMAP). Here is the issue we are having: we have several hundred users, all of which are required to change their network passwords every 90 days for security reasons (Windows 2003-based AD domain). We certainly don't have the IT support staff to go in and change the Email Account Password for each voicemail box every time a user changes their network passwords. Our local Mitel dealer told us to just have our end users change their Unified Messaging passwords via the web interface, but this is going to be a disaster for us from a training standpoint. Does anyone out there know of any possible way to somehow have the Unified Messaging system integrate with Active Directory/LDAP to pull in/sync user passwords??
I am up to writing scripts if necessary, just not even sure where to start on the UM end.
Thanks!
