I just cancel one line from my account out of 5 lines. So I need to remove that phone # from my PBX system , so it can not be picked by any extension. And I have Mitel SX-100. How can I do that. Any help will be great.

We will need 4 things. 1. Do you know anything about programming your SX100? And have the overlay for the console? 2. Do you know the password? 3. Do you have the program written down? 4. What version of software. John C.

If you don't understand any of his questions, you shouldn't be trying to do the change yourself. Hire a pro to do it.

You should be able to busy out the trunk using the attendant console so that it can't be accessed. That way you can buy some time until you can find someone to take care of formally removing it.

since all the programming on this system is done via the console and is not intuitive and since there is NO default password and would require setting switches on a card in the PBX I think John is giving you good advice - pay someone to come out for an hour and do it for you. Otherwise if you press one wrong sequence of buttons you could really mess things up.

ED, how would I busy out using the attendant console ? Becuase tech charging too much, like $85/hour. I can not afford right now.

I do not know the exact procedure for busying out a trunk, but I'm sure that it is outlined in the attendant console user's guide.

Ed, Problem is that I don't have console user guide. The Pro. Tech comming out our place took all with him. And he is so tempered that he don't want to give me the password. Like he is owning the system. Those tech in my area so rude and nuts.
