I have a customer who has a 5224 phone on a MX controller, this phone does not have voice mail but every mourning the message indicator light is on. They clear it everyday by pressing the message key and erasing. How can I stop this.

Press the message key. Youy should have an option to call the person that's setting the message. If no one should be allowed to send messages, disable option 259 in everyone's calss of service.

If I disable option 259 will voicemail users still get the light when they have mail? THANKS for your help.

Voicemail ports should have a separate class of service with that opion enabled
|
