It seems the 3300 ICP has issues with analog trunks connected to the embedded analog ports on the system.
I have a MXe with 3 copper trunks connected, all trunks using the same circut descriptor, using National Complex and set to short, all have the same protocol. Yet my line 1 has loud hum and bad echo and this is only heard on the phones connected to the Mitel, callers calling in hear nothing. My line 2 is as clean as can be, keep in mind these trunks are in the same group and have the same protocol. My line 3 is bad but not as bad as line 1.
I have tried every protocol from the drop down menu in the circuit descriptor and the trunk menu, have tried every variation with the long and short and so on and it still does not seem to help. I have contactd telco to see if they have any issues on their end and they say they don't. The line measure tool gives me no solution.
Any Ideas? I have heard this issue with other techs on the 3300 but no one seems to have a solution.
Thanks, Guitarman.

Have you swapped line 1 and 2 to see if the problem follows the line vice the port. The telco never has problems on thier end...

The 200 ICP has a function that allows you to test and adjust Loop Start trunk settings for the trunks in the controller - not sure if the 3300 has the same ability.

Hi guys,
Yes Dane, the 3300 has a tool called "Line quality measurement". It can be found in maintenance and does pretty much the same thing the 200 does.

I suspect you are going to find that jimmyv's sarcasm is the most valid post. smile John C.
