I was wandering if anyone can give me some information on the sx200. By this I mean, how is it programmed (laptop, special software, etc). The company that was working on this has been asked not to come out anymore. I have been in the telcom business for 21 years and know the Avaya switches pretty well. Any help would be great

Thanks in advance

If it Analog SX-200(Gen.16 or 17) then all programming done through Console. If it Digital or ICP you need to use Hyper terminal, VT 100 Compatible. No tel set programming is available.

Digital and ICP can be programmed with a computer or terminal. OR through the console but it's tedious. Analog can only be programmed through Console. You can backup and restore analog, according to the practices, but I've never been successful. You can also print out the analog program to paper or HYPERterm from analog. You can print out digital or EL program although it's tedious. You cannot save and restore digital, proprietary OS, frown . You CAN backup and restore EL, and later, easily. Now that you have too much info, did you get what you needed? John C.

Roughly I would say that their is 25 ip sets and approximately 150-175 analog phones. they have 3 of the 3 asu connected to the main unit. I need to be able to either have someone get into this or walk me into getting into it so we can see the capacity of this Mitel. I will be on site in the pm Tomorrow 8/21/09

You may want to investigate a little further, before committing. John C.

Sorry, multi mode to single mode convertor. The location where I need to install a remote peripheral node only has single mode fiber serviceing it.

Are you using a Fim, FIM II or a triple Fim, Mitel has SM versions of each. You will need 2, one on each side.

FIM SM 9400-300-316-NA
FIM II SM 9180-510-003-NA
Control Triple FIM SM 9109-613-003-NA
