Hey guys, new one on me. Got an AX controller. T1/E1 module in MMC 1. Programmed T1 Trunk Card for slots 1 and 2 (per folio instructions). All i can see from there is to program your T1 like normal right? However for slots 2 and 4 they show under programmed and installed. As soon as i assign a link descriptor number to slot 2, the t1 trunk card disappears from the installed section of form 1. You have to remove link descriptor assignment, reboot, and then it will show under installed again in form 1.
All the settings that are set in the link descriptor are fine. i dont understand what the headache is, however this is my first AX controller experience and maybe something goofy Mitel neglected to share on documentation.. Any ideas!?
Oh and running software version - 5.0.0.18
Thanks

Forgot to add, it only disappears for slot 2 under installed, slot 4 does show the t1 trunk card under installed, however assigning a link descriptor to slot 4 as well makes it disappear.

We've never done an AX either... How many digital links are in form 4?

Turned out to be a bad t1/e1 module....never seen one do that, chalk that up for experience! I did look at form 4 too it had 1 link as it should. Everything is working fine.

I'm doing an AX database now. I only have one T1 to be installed, so I only program 1 T1 (bay3, slot2). I was under the impression that with only 1 link in form 4, you could only program 1 T1 slot at a time. ?? However, I programmed slot 4 as a T1, but nothing shows under installed for that slot. I like my method: 1 T1 link, only program 1 T1.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

According to the documentation you are to program both slot 2 and 4. However we programmed like normal and it is working fine. Program your slot 2 and everything else like you normally would and you should be fine. I agree with you, i try to never program anything not being used!
