Hello,
We have a Mitel sx-200 system with a 5540 ip console.

If we put a call on hold at the console and do not pick it back up after 10 or 15 seconds it rings, and rings and rings.

How can I disable this? It is tremendously annoying.

You need to lengthen time on hold before ringback. If this is a hospitality situation, it was probably set short to discourage putting calls on hold at the console and encourage transfer to room or admin phone to keep console available for incoming and room-service calls.

Thank you. Yes, we're a hotel. And idea on how to actually do that? I searched the manuals without luck. Is it done from the console or through the phone room equipment? Our phone tech doesn't even know how to do it (no body has asked apparently).

If your phone tech truly has no idea to look at COS for the console and check "Hold Recall Time", you really should pay for the services of a 'Qualified' Mitel technician. frown
