Hello guys, I have a customer with a Mitel SX50,with a Viking ACL-1 Voice announcer, he has 4 trunks, and has recently switched from ATT to Charter, Ground to Loop start. Of course he is not receiving Disconnect supervision from Charter and I have gotten no where to have that assigned to the lines. Now here lies the problem, when a call goes unanswered, the main phone rings and room 108..... I have deleted extension 108 and rebuilt it, but that did not solve the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Room 108 is probably the overflow destination, see command 100, Register 08, bits GHI. I Hope you've got a manual. The bits should probably be changed to 000. Remember, the overfow destination is designated BY PORT number, NOT EXTENSION number. John C.

Here's what I found today. Upon return to the site I found the overflow point ext 133. Ext 133 is the Viking ACA-1 (Auto Attendant). All calls would ring the ACA-1 1st, then your able to dial a room number or 0 for the front desk. After being very inquisitive with the customer, I find out the SX50 and the ACA-1 is from another motel. I troubleshoot each and all digits from the ACA-1 and find 8 transfers callers to ext 108. I contacted Viking, spoke to Dave, explained the situation, he logs into the unit remotely, and also finds if the ACA-1 transfers to a busy room it over flows to ext 108. He set all digits 2-0 to go to the front desk. Problem resolved. So needless to say, ask questions till your blue in the face till you get the correct answer. Also got to Charters support group, they found "no disconnect supervision" assigned to the lines, the programmed that , and the other issues were resolved. Thanks for your response John C.

One of my old repair foreman used to tell me " if you can keep them talking about the problem and ask questions they will tell you what to do to fix the trouble".
