How many and what type of trunks? Is it on all of the trunks and stations? Can you swap cards or do you have a spare? Have you checked the trunks at the Demarc?

And to add a couple of more questions, Is this on the console only? Or some other phone only? And how about outgoing?

I am not getting any noise on outgoing. And I think it is only on console. If I picked up the phone by transfering to other ext. No problem.

If you have not changed your trunks recently, you should leave those alone! Did you by any chance change phone companies? Or maybe start trying to use Magic Jack, or Vonage? Your problem seems to be vague at best! Do you have any alarms? If so, when you hold the button down, what is the readout on the right side of the console? What version of software do you have? Have you had any other problems recently? Power failures, water leaks. My knee jerk reaction is that you have 1 bad trunk from the phone company. But with the wide range of possible problems, we need more info to try to help you. It would seem that you need a qualified Mitel Tech on site.

Until tech comes there was no problem at all. I called tech to install a jack so I can connect to Vonage. So he came and install the 4 jack (as a have 4 lines). At the same time he take out one line from trunk since I cancelled one line. There is no power failer nither water leak. But one strange thing he done is that he took out the trunk car and he moved his fingers on those blue button very gently, and put the trunk card back in.But before he left he told me that u going hear some noise and he mnetioned me that I have to replace "Receiver Quad board". I don't know why he said that. There was no problem what so ever until he walked in my house. Why all of sudden card went bad. I strongly beleive that he messed up something, becuase I don't see any need to pul out any of the system card to install the jack. Isn't it?. And by the way transfer of the phone # not happened yet, it schedule to trasfer on Monday. And I haven't connect any Vonage adpter yet. So any advice will be great.

He may have pulled the card to change the trunk ports to loop start. That's what Vonage will provide. That would be the source of noise on incoming calls, if you presently have ground start trunks. However the comment about noise may have been a reference to Vonage's method of phone line providing. I would no more use Vonage than I would use Magic Jack as my 'phone company' if I was in the hospitality business. Just MHO. And the the Quad Rceiver board may have had some stored alarms that he cleared. Those generally are not good news, so to speak. John C.
