hi, i am new to this forum & hope to get some help on this.
one of our new customer has sx 200 el, & somehow after a power outage their system has error code E.8 on MCC card, also let me tell you we have never serviced this property before & the owner has puschased this property 2 yrs back & never had an issue so no technician ever worked since they took over, also he was not able to trace the previous technician so basically we have no back up copy of database. i got the moss sheet from mitel customer service but even after entering the password(which was zeroed out) & enabling all purchased options i cannot save form 4, it says password conflict. we went through the moss sheet & form 4 three times but still the same conflict. does this sound as bad sys id module. waht should be our next step

E.8 means you don't have the correct moss password. I don't think the password was all zeros.
Since you don't have a backup or the right password, your only option is to contact Mitel.

If the number listed on the actual sys id module matches option #101 in form 4, then the sys id is working properly. Is your MOSS sheet info from the same rev. software that is loaded into the system? There may be some options that are in the system, but don't show on the MOSS sheet.

I don't have the original moss sheet, the one I have I got it from mitel customer service recently using the sys id, & Johnpaul the pasward is all zeroes & there is nothing programming left on system, it is like a blank database. Even form 1 doesn't show any hardware programmer or installed on system. Fifty5footer can u think of any options which might be not on moss but still needs to be enabled in form 4, also the moss sheet that I recevied shows the same LW ver as on the system which is 17

telbase, I'm going to tell you something you don't want to hear. I had the same experience with a LW17 and was informed by Mitel that 'some' of the LW17 Flash Cards could be completely wiped clean by a short power outage! You could not even get a form to display! In my case, Mitel had inadvertently double shipped the Flash Card. I installed the new one, WITH a UPS, and away she went. Other than that, the only thing I could think of that might be changed on the MOSS would be re-issue with PMS instead of HOSPITALITY. But, any change on the MOSS will change the number.

lightninghorse, thanks for ur feedback, in my case i can open forms but they are all blank & the moss sheet that mitel provided me has pms enabled so seems the last one. If i was to follow your method how do write a flash card with LW17, also i have 1 LW19 flash card in spare, do you think just replacing existing card with LW19 will work.

I've never seen a MOSS sheet not work.. There's got to be a setting you're missing, or digits you're transposing. You should also properly re-initialize the MCC, and be sure EVERYTHING is cleaned out.

There isn't a password of all zero's that I believe would function. Like I said, someone at Mitel gave you the wrong info.

Johnp u misunderstood me, password on moss sheet is not all zeroes, the system at present has all zeroes in password field & that's the reason for E.8, what I meant was after entering the correct password as per the moss sheet, it still does not accept it & gives a password/options conflict eventhough all options are set as per moss from mitel.

Then you must be missing something. Maybe ACD agents or BNIC BONS settings aren't right. It's really hard to say what you have wrong.
