Hi all,

We have a selection of phones in an area of our site where most of the phones have been rebooting them self at random times over the last week. A user can be on a call and the phone would reboot or they could just be sitting there and see the phone reboot as in the display or orange light flashes.

The lcoation is an office area within our building and its only this area that has the issue. They all run back to a Dlink POE device switch. This switch is then connected by cat5 to the other server room.

The system we use is a Mitel 3300 and the phones that have this issue the most is the 5201

Obvious culprit is the Dlink unit, but I suppose you've tried that already. Next would be something going on with feed cable back to 3300.

I had a similar problem before with the 5215 set at a site. Have you checked the maintenance logs to see if there are any entries about the extensions rebooting htat say anything about the phone (mac address) being moved. Mitel had me turn off Voice Encryption in System Options and they had a Cisco switch on their network that was causing problems. I wish I could remember what the option on the Cisco was that we had to disable too. Had to do with the emergency location feature when a phone was moved.

Well it cannot be whole phone system as in checking the feed cable as the rest of the site works fine with no issues. Its just a select office in our warehouse. The CAB in the warehouse is linked back to the main server room where the 3300 is located by 1 x Network Cable and not fiber. Could it be bandwidth
