I work for a telecom carrier and we have a customer that wants the inbound caller ID to be passed along to a forwarded number from the Mitel 3300. Our network is using a Sonus Soft Switch to pass the calls. Our engineers have explained the fix to be that the Sonus requires that the ISDN setup message on the RDN Element( Redirect Number)include a digit string with *15 or 999 in the header so that the caller ID of the inbound caller will be forwarded to the cell phone, in this case, of the recipient. The PBX vendor is saying that Mitel says there is no way to do this and yet we have many customers using this service with other PBXs and the mobile twinning feature passes the inbound caller id along through our Sonus switch and out to the cell phone. I am open to any suggestions at this point and if someone might know who to talk to at Mitel. Thanks in advance.

It works on my 3300- I guess it may depend on the software level of the switch and I would check into the COS of the stations and trunks.
I get Land based CID - Cells come up as wireless

Who is your carrier and are they using a soft switch or the TDM switch? We have no problems having the forwarded Caller Id go through on our Lucent 5E or Nortel DMS whether it be landline or cell. It is only on the service that runs across our Sonus Broadsoft switch.
