Is it possible to set up an operator queue and/or a comfort message on calling the operator? I've read in a few places this is done via a vm port configured as a RAD device but I haven't looked into it extensively yet. If there's any easy/basic ways to accomplish this I'd like to know! We want to use this in lieu of a menu system for our daytime VM configuration.

To answer my own message it looks like I want to program "Attendant Overflow" and assign it to a RAD via a voicemail port. I have this 99% of the way, but the help file literally has nothing regarding how to actually program it. I put the rad extension into the 1st alternative slot under call-rerouting but once it plays the greeting it hangs up! How to I specify this is attendant overflow?

I looked in the COS options and I think I found the rad option, but it said it conflicted with something else but I couldn't figure out exactly what setting it was conflicting with. I believe it was something that denotes the port as a VM port but I couldn't find WHAT option that was.

FYI - Created COS 24 for "Rad Ports".

Tried it again and I can set the first COS setting, but when setting the second one, I get a popup box with:

"Voice Mail and Advanced Recorded Announcement Device" are mutually exclusive.

And it won't save. I tried the reverse, selecting only "Recorded Announcement Device-Advanced" and get "Recorded Announcement Device COS option must be selected". This leads me to believe there's another COS option specifying that its a voicemail port, but I can't find which one it is.

Since my last post I found out it may be bad to use the last VM port (which I was using - port 20), so I changed the RAD port to VM port 19, fixed the VM hunt group appropriately, and then created a RAD hunt group (6300) with 6219/port 19 as its only member and made it type RAD. Now when I call 6300 it just hangs up on me.

So to recap...

Rad port COS is 24
I changed VM port 19 to be the RAD(rad set 10)
I changed the VM hunt group to remove port 19/6219
I made a RAD hunt group and added 6219 (port 19)

Lastly, I tried to change the rad cos settings and it won't let me set the "advanced" option.

OK found the cos option "COV/ONS/E&M Voice Mail Port" and turned that off. I can now specify both Rad options.

Still get hung up on when calling 6300.

I got it.

I knew there was a step missing, and that was to apply the COS to 6219. Completely forgot about the Station Service assignment form.

Got it working now - no hunt group involved. Set first alternative to 6219 and it played the message as I wanted.
