I have a hospital that has one sub att already programed on a 4150 set. They want another one set up to ring when they put the Att Console in nite 2.
If got most of this figured out ( no documentation of course) but I do not know how to set a 4150 as a "sub". It looks like the "type" needs to be programed as "sub" so I can program it for nite 2
Any ideas on how you change the type??

If you already have a 4150 programmed and want to change it to a sub, you will have to delete it from programming and reprogram it with the 4150 sub device type. You will most likely want to copy the LDNs from the other sub.

I did that and it would not come up as a sub.
I was unable to change the type on the phone. I started out with a different display phone 4250 I think, any way the switch saw that and had that listed as the type.
When I figured out I needed a 4150 the PBX saw that but I never could get "type" to change it to sub.
I would tab right over it. How do you change the "type"???

Completely delete the 4150 from Form 9. Make the line completely blank. Unprogrammed. Nothing there. Like new.
Then before you do anything else, skip everything else and IMMEDIATELY select the type, "4150 SUB."
THEN go back to tenant, and program the phone from left to right across.
As Jonmyk told you.
